With the STARS traffic accident reconstruction simulation software package you will receive HVE-CSI, MADYMO-for-STARS and PRESCAN-for-STARS. 

Product description

HVE-CSI provides the reconstruction and simulation capabilities used to investigate a crash by including two well known reconstruction software tools, EDCRASH and EDSMAC. These tools have been extensively validated, and results have been presented and accepted in courts worldwide for over 20 years.

 

MADYMO-for-STARS provides the reconstruction and simulation capabilities used to investigate what happens to the occupants inside a vehicle before,during and after a crash. It uses the power of MAYDMO which been extensively validated, and results have been presented and accepted in courts worldwide for over 20 years.

 

The PreScan-for-STARS version of Prescan is included in the STARS package. PreScan-for-STARS is a unique version that focuses directly on the needs of the crash reconstructionist. PreScan-for-STARS provides the animation capabilities used to investigate what the accident environment looked like at the the time of impact.  It can visualize the scene from various view points and weather scenarios.

Within the STARS package you will get the following 2 licenses:

 

  1. a paid-up license for the latest version of HVE-CSI which offers unlimited usage.  This license is locked to your specific computer via a locking codes that are embedded in the license file. To generate the license we will need your specific locking codes which can be generated by running this tool. Please run this tool and send it to us with your order. It can also be done after your order has been placed. Once we receive the locking codes we will send you the full HVE-CSI license.


  2. a pay-per-use license for all (current and future) versions of MADYMO-for-STARS and PreScan-for-STARS.
    • This license contains 24,000 consumable tokens that will be consumed over time as the software is being used.
    • Additional tokens can be purchased using the MADYMO pack. 
    • A basic MADYMO-for-STARS calculation is using 12 tokens per CPU minute. A typical simulation takes about 45 minutes and uses 540 tokens. Within the MADYMO pack users should be able to perform around 45 simulations resulting in about 10 cases. The MADYMO-for-STARS userinterface is using 3 tokens per minute.
