Visualization of the accident and its surroundings

Sometimes a picture paints a thousand words.  STARS uses the graphical power of PreScan to create an animation of the accident.  PreScan gives the user the ability to visualize from various view points what the accident looked like in a realistic environment including light and weather influences. 

 

Using the PreScan functionality the investigator can answer the following and other questions:

  • What did the overall scene look like at the time of the accident?
  • What could the driver(s) see from their position?
  • Did the weather affect the visibility and could it have played a factor in the accident?
